A very special place in this collection holds a Christmas song, and also the title track of this album, that André Rieu wrote himself: December Lights. It was inspired by the occasion on which André met his beautiful wife Marjorie in the wintry town of Brussels in Belgium.

Hi Andre My dad Bernard is turning 80 on 4th November and he is a Huge fan of yours! He has EVERY CD & DVD that you have ever made!! He has an Andre Rieu evening at his house every week with his friends. He has a massive 3D screen and a surround sound system! its like being at your concert - almost! My Mum, Marjorie, passed away nearly 15 years ago, so your music, shared with his friends is a great comfort and enjoyment for him. He has been to three of your concerts here in Australia. I accompanied him last year to Melbourne to see your fantastic concert with the Seekers as your special guests! Dad can recite your life(scary I know!) but he just ADORES what you do! He has great admiration for your devotion, passion, and love of music! My daughter Emily is a fantastic violinist and is studying a Bachelor of music at the Tasmanian conservatorium of music majoring in contempory violin. She is the only Jazz violinist!! Dad would love your new Christmas album so I am ordering it for his birthday. If you're not able to drop by for the birthday celebration, would it be possible to send the christmas album I've ordered personally signed to Bernard.
