Homebake is the music festival that has always favoured the underdog, supported the homegrown and delivered locally bred, world caliber acts to punters time after time. For the first time in a 17 year history, organizers have announced Homebake 2012 will be a global edition – with none other than US legends Blondie headlining!
Returning to Sydney’s finest greenery - the Domain - Homebake 2012 will roll music, film, comedy and the arts into one day of fun and frivolity. Joining the legendary Debbie Harry of Blondie is comedian, actor and pianist Tim Minchin, alongside Aussie patriots The Hilltop Hoods, Kimbra, Angus Stone, Julia Stone, Birds of Tokyo, Daniel Merriweather, Sam Sparro, The Saints, Something For Kate, DZ Deathrays, Pond and many more!
Set across four stages with a cinema pavilion, comedy stage market stalls, artist signing tents and more, there’s plenty to do at this year’s Homebake festival and plenty reason to go – just make sure you’re up early August 16th when tickets go on sale.
