Gin Wigmore in the studio recording her debut LP!

21 May, 2009

Gin has revealed she has officially begun recording her first full-length album, set for release later this year. In a Myspace blog entry to her fans, Gin has spoken up about entering the recording studio to commence work on her much anticipated debut full-length album:

"I have now officially started recording my very first record... For the past few days we have been writing some awesome songs together and next week we go into Capitol Studios to record... Keep in touch and get ready for a great album, promise!"

Fans can expect an impressive injection of musical talent into the album, including the songwriting prowess of Martin Terefe (Jason Mraz, James Morrison), Dan Wilson (Dixie Chicks), Mitchell Froom (Crowded House) and Mike Elizondo (Eminem, Gwen Stefani, Fiona Apple).

Gin's debut EP, Extended Play garnered both critical acclaim and chart success in Australia, and saw her compared to the likes of Macy Gray and Edith Piaf.

Gin's debut full length LP is due for release in late 2009.
