The Monster Ball Tour was the worldwide tour by Lady Gaga, in support of her album The Fame Monster (2009) and comprising a set list of songs from that and her debut album The Fame (2008). Described as "the first-ever pop electro opera" by Gaga; the tour ultimately became one of the highest grossing tours from a debut headline artist and one of the highest grossing tours of all time.

HBO recorded Lady Gaga’s shows at Madison Square Garden in February 2011, filming the entire concert, interspersed with footage from backstage. Lady Gaga will release a Blu-Ray & DVD copy of the critically acclaimed, Emmy Award winning HBO special Lady Gaga Presents The Monster Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden that includes exclusive, never before seen footage.
