Monsieur Camembert had been in existence for about three years when the ABC approached the much-loved purveyors of Eastern European gipsy music to do a broadcast for their Live on Stage radio program. Musical lightning struck that night and the inspired, virtuoso performance became a best-selling CD that won the 2002 ARIA Award for Best World Music album.

Now, to celebrate its 10th anniversary, the classic album has been remastered and four tracks not included on the original release have been returned to their rightful place. Now a whole new generation can hear what all the fuss was about, in performances so crisp and refreshing it’s as if they could have been recorded yesterday.
